Condition:
- A salutary lesson in coin collecting is not to rely totally on the score afforded third-party graded coins when purchasing. Coins are individually struck and over time can experience different environmental factors which can affect their look. This is especially true of copper coins on which the extent of original lustre that survives on their surfaces is very important in determining values. Two examples of the same coin which have achieved the same MS grade can often be as different as chalk and cheese, as with this coin which is markedly better in colour and strike than the other coin that achieved a PCGS MS65RB grade which can be viewed on the PCGS website
