Welcome to Smalls Auction Sale 229. We have included in this Sale a wide variety of items from Decorative Art to rare Banknotes. One offering of special Interest is a stunning matched pair of 19th Century Bronzes of Hunter and Fisher Boys by the famous French sculptor Albert-Ernest Carrier-Belleuse.They would have once adorned the entrance hallway of a stately manor but now it is a question of whether they will fit into a million dollar one-bedroom Sydney Apartment. How times have changed. The selection of early Australia Promissory Banknotes is also important. Only small numbers of these trading notes have survived with some of the notes on offer being unique. If you a serious collector of Australiana they are well worth a look. For collectors of high-quality coins, we have two British East Africa Proof Record coins in the ultimate grade. Both coins are escapees from the Melbourne Mint which sold off its duplicate coins in 1988 to fund other purchases for its collection. The 1937 (L) Ten Cent was graded by PCGS at an impressive PR68 RD while the 1942 (L) Ten Cent is just a cigarette paper width behind at PCGS 67+ RD. As usual we also have a strong selection of jewellery and other collectables to whet your interest. Smalls Auctions.
