Auction 116 Highlights
Welcome to Smalls Auctions Sale 116.
We have included a wide selection of collectable Australian copper coins including examples of the 1923 Halfpenny and the 1930 Penny which are missing from most collections. The 1923 Halfpenny in PCGS AU55 is in relatively high grade whilst the 1930 Penny with about Very Fine details presents an affordable example of Australia’s premier rare coin. We have targeted the coins on offer at collectors rather than investors and so the vast majority are offered in their original state and not third-party graded. However, you can be assured that all coins have been professionally assessed by our staff with over 80 years combined experience.
The second offering is of German WWII-related items. There is an eclectic collection of medals, badges and other items covering the rise and eventual fall of Nazi Germany. Some will find these souvenirs of war distasteful – but as been said by countless historians you ignore history at your peril. Students of history could certainly point to parallels between the nationalistic rantings of the recently deposed blowhard Donald Trump and the rise of Nazism in inter-war Germany so perhaps MAGA hats will be the new collectable.
