Auction 103 Highlights
Welcome to Smalls Auctions Sale 103.
This week we are clearing the stock of a retired Australian Coin Dealer so most of the lots are grouped in runs of dates or multiples of similar items. This should not deter collectors who are putting aside multiple sets for their children.
There is also a scattering of rare proof coins particularly of Fiji and New Zealand. These are ‘proof record’ coins with extremely low mintages of less than ten pieces which were not made commercially available to the public. Generally, they make their way into the marketplace when a museum collection is either downsized or dispersed as was the case with the Melbourne Mint Collection which has sold off duplicates through the years to raise funds for other purchases.
We hope you find something of interest to add to your collection.
