Welcome to Smalls Auctions Sale Number 32 which once again offers a variety of desirable items for all style of collectors.

We appreciate that not all collectors want their coins in third-party holders and so we also offer quality coins in their ‘raw’ state. However, you can be assured that if we describe a coin that has not been third-party as Choice Uncirculated then based on our experience it would grade at least MS63. Similarly a ‘raw’ coin described as near Gem would grade MS64 and a Gem MS65 or better. I again remind collectors that we have provided a free up-to-date catalogue on the Australian Pre-decimal Coin series which you can download to your iPhone from the Apple App Store by searching for “Australia Coin Values”. For those of you who don’t possess an iPhone this free catalogue is also available at “www.benchmarkcoincatalogue.com” on your PC.

Also this month we offer a wide-selection of silver-ware from the renowned maker Georg Jensen. Since its inception in 1904 the ‘Georg Jensen’ brand has been linked to quality and design innovation and remains widely collected to this day. On offer in our sale is ‘as new’ shop stock from the last 30 years mostly with the classic acorn design.

Our sale also includes a very fine selection of jewellery highlighted by a stunning ‘Art-Deco’ brooch containing over 5 carats of quality diamonds.

The world banknote selection includes some very rare ‘Specimen’ banknotes of Malta, Egypt and Cyprus from the archives of Bradbury Wilkinson and a good selection of New Zealand banknotes including an extremely rare ‘Lefeaux’ signature £50. Records indicate that only 50,000 of this note were ever issued and so this note with the highest-recorded Serial Number T 051658 is certainly an enigma. It would appear that the rushed release of this ‘temporary’ issue must have resulted in plenty of printer’s spoils.

To round off the Sale there is an interesting selection of Australian First Day covers including rare 1960s issues from the Australian territories of Cocos-Keeling and Norfolk islands.
